WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER YOUR SERVICE

LARGE COCKROACHES & GERMAN COCKROACHES:

You may see an increased number of live cockroaches, particularly directly after the initial treatment, and more so where an infestation is extensive, as the treatment will flush them out of their forages. The number will decrease over 14-21 days. If after 3 weeks numbers have not declined please call Southpest. If activity continues to internal areas we will: Return free of charge within the guarantee period of 6 months. Some activity may continue externally due to a number of factors including adjacent properties and weather conditions.

GROUND DWELLING SPIDERS:

Total treatment to all nesting areas may not be possible. Travelling/foraging ground spiders can still appear. These will be deterred once they contact the treated areas. Treatment is to deter entry to internal areas ONLY.

If activity continues we will: Return free of charge within the guarantee period of 6 months to remedy problems INTERNALLY.

WEBBING SPIDERS:

Treatment will eliminate accessible spiders only. These spiders are often not easily accessible to treat as they tend to be located high off the ground. They travel on the wind and will live within foliage. Compounds have very limited residual above ground. Webs should be left until after treatment and then removed.

COMMON ANTS (including Black Ants & Coastal Brown Ants):

Total eradication is not possible as they are multi-nesters. We will do our best to reduce the population and their presence within the dwelling. Directly after treatment their activity/numbers may seem to increase, due to being disturbed. If after 21 days the situation has not improved please call Southpest.

If activity continues we will: No warranty applies to common ants but we will retreat at a reduced cost.

FLEAS:

Flea eggs can lie dormant for a long period of time. They hatch with vibration, and can appear after a treatment has been undertaken. This apparent re-infestation should be affected by the treated areas. If animals are present they can carry their own infestation, and may void the treatment. You must ensure that all carpeted areas are vigorously vacuumed prior to treatment and then not for 7-10 days after.

If activity continues we will: Return free of charge within the guarantee period of 3 months as long as no pets are residing on the property. If pets are present no warranty can apply.

SILVERFISH:

This pest can be very secretive and elusive. They will hide under roof insulation, within cupboards and clothing. Hence they can be perceived to be still active. They will be controlled when contacting the treated areas. You must: Vacuum all room edges and built in wardrobes. Wash all affected clothing in hot water.

If activity continues we will: Return free of charge within the guarantee period of 3 months.

RODENTS:

Baiting will eliminate the existing activity although baiting is not a deterrent and cannot stop future activity. Improving hygiene, blocking possible entry points and repairing any water leaks will all help to reduce a possible reoccurrence.

BEES:

Even though the hive has been eliminated, foraging bees may still be seen externally.

If activity continues we will: Return free of charge within guarantee period of 6 months for re-infestation of treated area only.

WASPS:

Visible nests are eliminated but these flying pests can appear at any time and form a new nest.
